Ramberg is the administrative centre of Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Flakstadøya in the Lofoten archipelago. It has approximately 350 inhabitants. The European route E10 highway passes through Ramberg.

About this picture
This is the aurora from Flakstad beach on the Lofoten Islands. You do have to be pretty lucky to have clear skies and aurora in March but we got lucky!!
The exposure was 30 seconds with the camera on a tripod just above the ground, dodging the incoming waves on the beach to try and get some reflection off the wet sand.
The Lofoten Islands are one of the most amazing places on earth. A photographers paradise :-)
